Things to Know
A Special THANK YOU!: Our Title 1 Family Night and Book Fair were a big success! Thank you to all that came out to support our students and the school. Our book fair was a huge success and we made over $7000 to purchase new books for our students! That is wonderful! A BIG Thank you to our staff the work so hard to make these events successful and volunteer their time!
Red Ribbon Week: This week we will be doing some activities revolving around Red Ribbon Week and how we will stay drug free. Please see the schedule of days so your child can participate!
Parties/Celebrations: Halloween/Fall Parties will be on Oct 31. Please contact your child's teacher if yu have questions. Please remember that if you are sending treats in for parties and/or celebrations, please be sure they are pre-packaged, store bought items. Thank you for following this guideline.
Costumes: Students may bring costumes to school, but they may not wear them. They will be given time to put them on for their party. Please do not send pretend weapons of any kind or paint for hair, faces, or other body parts. We want everyone to have fun in a safe and cordial manner. Again, thank you for following these guidelines.
Weather Changes: Fall is here and the weather is getting much cooler. Please be sure to send a coat or jacket with your child. We will be going outside any day that we can. If your child is in need of a jacket, please contact the office.
This week's DOJO Leaders! Keep up the good work!
Our first SOAR card finishers of the year! I'm so excited that these cards keep rolling in! Keep up the good work! We'll have several more next week!
Principal's Corner 👇🏽
Sorry this is later than usual. Friday didn't lend much time to get this out!
I hope everyone had a peaceful fall break with your children. I know I missed them and was so happy to see them all back Monday! We really do love your children and thank you for sending them to us!
Not that we've settled in the first 9 weeks, the second 9 weeks we will be delving in a little deeper to make sure every child is learning and being successful. The staff here work very hard with your children and want them all to succeed, but we need your support as well. Please check the status of your child's grades through Harmony. If you don't know how to use this online platform, contatct Kara Patrick at school. If your child's teacher tries to contact you, please be sure to reach back out to make that contact. Check your child's papers that come home, not just for notes or things from teachers, but let your child share what they have done at school. This shows your child that you are interested in their learning. If you have concerns or questions, please reach out to your child's teacher. We are all on the same team and want your child to be successful!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
